Our Board Members
Jeremy Pipsair President
Jeremy Pipsair has served as President since 2015 and has been a member of this volunteer board for 10 years. His tenure and tenacity in partnership with several other long serving board members has driven the possibility of completing Veterans Park’s vision. Jeremy and his family are lifelong residents of Pierre Part. Along with his wife, Leah, they have served in various volunteer roles at Pierre Part Elementary, Middle and High Schools, and many local children’s programs. His locally owned multi-faceted construction business compliments his leadership on the board and critical maintenance solutions for Veterans Park. Providing a local park filled with amenities for everyone to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends is his priority.
Jenny St. Germain Vice President
Almost 20 years of accounting experience; completed notary exam last year; previously volunteered for catechism classes, active in Catholic Daughters, and leader of Junior Catholic Daughters currently. Jenny St. Germain serves as Vice President of the volunteer leading initiatives toward completion of Veterans Park Master Plan and continuing park maintenance. Jenny’s degrees in Accounting and Finance with her experience for 20 years includes expertise in budget preparation, analysis, financial audits, and risk management brings critical focus to the board. Jenny and her family are lifelong residents of Pierre Part. She recently completed her notary exam, volunteers for catechism classes, is active in Catholic Daughters and currently serves as leader of Junior Catholic Daughters.
Karen St. Germain
Karen St. Germain is a lifelong resident of Pierre Part and Belle River. She served three terms as our Louisiana State Representative and was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards in January 2016 as Commissioner of the Office of Motor Vehicle state agency. As one of the original volunteer Pioneers since 2002 working to make Veterans Park a reality for the local community, she joined the board to further assist with completing the vision desired by the community. Karen brings her leadership experience and love of her community to drive for an extraordinary park experience here at home.
Corey Crochet
Corey Crochet and his family are lifelong residents of Pierre Part. He is currently Principal of Labadieville Middle School in Assumption Parish for seven years. His career as a teacher began in 2004. He joined the board as a volunteer member in 2020. Corey’s personal motto “Every student. Every day. Whatever it takes.” continues in recreation for all families and children to live, grow, and learn new skills, etc. Corey continues to drive for park programs and amenities for families and children which are key to sustaining our local population. Corey is also a member of Pierre Part Belle River Museum, Inc.
John Day
John Day retired after more than 44 years working with Gulf States Utilities, CF Industries, and Motiva/Shell. His electrical technician, maintenance specialist role, and foreman and supervisor background bring critical knowledge to assist in building and maintaining Veterans Park. John has been a volunteer board member for 15 years striving to complete Veterans Park Master Plan vision that began in 2002. He also is an avid Tennis player utilizing the park courts for group membership play every week. He has been instrumental in providing key input for Veterans Park’s tennis court amenity.
Jenny Paine
Jenny Paine is a long time resident of Pierre Part. She has __ years in (profession category) as past owner of Pierre Part Physical Therapy for ___ years. Jenny has served the community on this volunteer board for since 2004. Her dedication continues to drive Veterans Park Master Plan to provide an assortment of amenities for all ages and all families. Jenny is married to Steve Paine, a __ year volunteer fire department……….. She is a member of the Pierre Part Belle River Business Group and Pierre Part Belle River Museum, Inc.
Lana Chaney
Lana Chaney and her family are lifelong residents of Pierre Part. She continues to serve the parish and local community through her legal expertise and volunteerism. Lana is one of the original local pioneers who worked to create the reality of Veterans Park. She has served on this volunteer board since 2002. Her dedication and learnings along the way has guided progress towards completing the Master Plan vision established since 2002. Lana remains dedicated to establishing a variety of amenities to Veterans Park for the local people. She continues to serve as a volunteer for many of the local events.
Beryl Gomez
Beryl retired from the telecommunication industry in 2005. During her 35-year career, she served as Manager of seven Louisiana Call Centers and Louisiana State Staff, Corporate and External Affairs Liaison for Ascension Parish, Assistant to Louisiana State Director, Assistant to Regional Vice President, and ended as a Consultant for Management Training and Development throughout the BellSouth region. Beryl currently is the board’s Grant Writer/Manager serving since 2016 as Secretary/Treasurer lending her corporate experiences to the board’s initiatives. Beryl also serves as a board member of Pierre Part Belle River Museum, Inc., is a member of Pierre Part Belle River Business Group, serves on the Pennington Biomedical Rural Heart and Lung Advisory Board, and is a local independent consultant.
Brittany Blanchard
Brittany Gautier Blanchard began supporting the board in 2020 as part-time Administrative Assistant and now serves as the board’s Secretary/Treasurer providing full support for Veterans Park and part-time maintenance employees. Brittany’s college degree and office administration experience lends her strengths to managing the park and bringing programs and events to Veterans Park for local community children and families. Brittany and much of her family are residents of Belle River and Pierre Part. She is the mother of 3 young children. Her husband works in the chemical industry.
